Havets Hus in Lysekil AB is a municipal company owned by Lysekil Stadshus AB, which in turn is owned by Lysekil Municipality.

Havets Hus was founded in 1993 and is today one of Bohuslän's most popular tourist destinations. The aquarium is a tribute to the rich marine life of the West Coast. Here, light-hearted experiences for the whole family coexist with serious challenges for the future. Each year, nearly 80,000 visitors get acquainted with hundreds of fascinating species – from the spiny dogfish to the dead man's hand.

Havets Hus aims to create engagement for life in a healthy ocean. Through knowledge of all the ocean's ecosystems and their utilization, Havets Hus seeks to convey a fascination for and understanding of the importance of ocean ecosystem services and their conservation.

We are looking for someone who wants our guests to have an unforgettable experience at Havets Hus.

Responsibilities

During the summer season, we need guest service staff for the reception, shop, and adventure golf. Working hours and duration may vary between the different positions, and there is also the opportunity to work weekends both before and after the summer.

You will be responsible for ensuring that our guests receive excellent service and that cash register transactions are accurate. Therefore, you should have a pronounced sense of service, be stress-resistant, and meticulous. In addition to customer service, cleaning and basic maintenance of the premises and outdoor environment, such as weeding, cleaning the mini-golf courses, and emptying trash bins, are included. You should not be afraid to get your hands dirty; all staff help with most tasks, and the focus is on creating a pleasant atmosphere for our visitors.

Qualifications

You need to have arranged accommodation in Lysekil and surrounding areas when applying for a position with us. The minimum age for guest service positions is 16 years, 18 years for those working evening shifts.

You need to be able to speak and write fluent Swedish and have good knowledge of English. Other languages are a merit.

Great importance is placed on personal suitability, and we strive for a balanced gender distribution.

Knowledge of Teams, Outlook, Office Suite, and other technical skills that may be useful for troubleshooting cash register systems, displays, etc., is advantageous.

Conditions

All our employees are offered fire training or fire briefing, CPR training, and internal training about Havets Hus. Attendance at training days is required for new employees.

Mandatory dates:

• Internal training on May 30 from 9 AM to 3 PM.
• CPR training on June 15 from 8 AM to 10 AM.
• Fire briefing on June 16 from 8 AM to 10 AM.

A certificate from the Criminal Records Register is required before employment can take place.
